Anna van der Leij




Raised in Dunedin, Anna studied German, history and voice and piano performance at Otago University. She was a member of NZ National Youth Choir, and has sung in many choirs nationally and internationally, including St Paul’s Cathedral Choir Dunedin, The Tudor Consort Wellington, Holyrood Ensemble Edinburgh and Adelaide Chamber Singers. She has worked as an organist in Australia and teacher of piano and voice. She is a classical music producer and administrator, working at ABC Classic FM in Australia, Chamber Music NZ and Global Eagle In-Flight content, and writes for Oxford University Journal Early Music. Now based in Queenstown, Anna is part of the Michael Hill International Violin Competition team presenting the Wakatipu Music Festival in June 2021.
